Hard Cases And Bad Law
Hard Cases And Bad Law
The IALT Annual Conference for 2002
ADVANCE CALL FOR PAPERS
It is said that we learn more easily from our mistakes than from our successes.
The IALT Annual Conference for 2002 will be held in the Ramada Inn, Belfast, on the 12th to 14th April, and the theme will be “Hard Cases and Bad Law”.
Under this heading we shall be exploring situations in the past where the law has gone wrong: in a bad decision; in an unwise piece of legislation; in laying down a rule that proves unworkable; in failing to take an opportunity for reform or clarification.
Papers will be welcomed in all areas of the law.
The cost of the conference has not yet been finalised, but it is likely to be in the region of £275 sterling including accommodation; this is equivalent to about 450 euros or £IR350.
Further details about this conference may be obtained from the conference organiser at the address below. DR JOHN E STANNARD
