Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, the IALT Annual Conference for 2020 could not take place. Instead, the Association is running an online Seminar Series dealing with various aspects of legal scholarship in Ireland today. Below you will find information on past and future seminars.

Judicial (Mis)Conduct: Where to now? – 3 November 2020

The second seminar in our 2020-2021 seminar series took place on Tuesday 3 November 2020 when we were joined by Dr Laura Cahillane and Dr DavidKenny to discuss the recent controversy surrounding the attendance of Supreme Court Justice Séamus Woulfe at the Oireachtas Golf Society Dinner in Cliften. Presentations on previous instances of judicial controversy and the prospect of accountability mechanisms under the Judicial Council Act 2019 were followed by a lively Q&A.
