IALT Annual Conference 2012, 16-18 November, Dublin

The IALT 2012 Annual Conference will be held on 16-18 November 2012 at the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel, Killiney, Co. Dublin.
The theme of this year’s conference is Legal Scholarship and Judicial Reasoning: A Mutual Interaction.
As usual, the conference will have a strong academic tone, with a series of keynote and plenary sessions, alongside parallel sessions catering for a wide range of papers on discrete areas of law. The annual conference is also widely valued as an opportunity for social interaction, and this year will be no exception, with a reception, buffet dinner and the awarding of the IALT Kevin Boyle Book Prize on Friday night, a cultural outing on Saturday afternoon to the James Joyce Tower, the gala dinner (dress code: smart) on Saturday night and plenty of opportunities for networking and establishing contacts with colleagues researching and teaching in other institutions in Ireland and abroad. The AGM of the IALT will take place following lunch on Sunday.
The Killiney Castle Hotel http://www.fitzpatrickcastle.com/ is located 10 minutes’ walk from Dalkey Dart Station and the Aircoach stops outside. A limited number of rooms at a preferential room rate are available to delegates at €99 B&B single or €109 twin/double room.

Conference Fees
Conference fees (to include attendance at the conference and all coffee breaks, lunches, dinners, receptions and a social outing) for the entire weekend are:
For IALT members:
€170 / £135
€110 / £90 (for postgraduate members)*
For non-members:
€210 / £170
*The IALT will fund up to two postgraduate students to attend the conference.
